Although the actual physical boundaries have become obscured, it remains for longtime residents and businesses, a part of the local culture and communal life. Today, the area often referenced as Standale, is a strip of commercial property which is bounded on the west by Wilson Avenue (M11) and on the east by Kinney Ave. It also encompasses the adjacent residential dwellings a few blocks north and south of this central division. The vital elements of city governace are enveloped within the City of Walker. However, there are still a number of prominent businesses which continue to reference Standale in their names.
